About Us

Co. Longford Community & Voluntary Forum (CLCVF) was established through Local Government in order to facilitate the collective voice of the Community and Voluntary Sector in Co. Longford and it's participation in matters relating to local and county development in the County.

The Structure of Co. Longford Community and Voluntary Forum

Annually, all of the Community and Voluntary organisations in the County affiliated to the CLCVF, are invited to our AGM in April/May. Here each affiliated group can nominate one of their own group members to go forward for election to become CLCVF Steering Group members.

Those elected on the night will fill one of 38 positions on the Forum’s Steering Group where they will then attend monthly Forum meetings representing the interests of the community and voluntary groups in their Electoral Area or a county wide basis if they represent a specific issue.
